Travel

The Reeling takes place at Rouken Glen Park in the south side of Glasgow. The park is well-serviced by public transport and in line with the sustainable aims of the festival, we would encourage attendees to use public transport wherever possible. You can find our site map below, as well as full details on our shuttle bus service - we advise booking early to guarantee use.


Shuttle Bus

Happy Bus will be operating a city centre shuttle bus service from Cowcaddens Road in Glasgow City Centre, dropping off in Rouken Glen Main Car Park (outside Rouken Glen Garden Centre).

Outward shuttles will depart Cowcaddens Road between 11:00hrs & 16:00hrs. Return shuttles will depart Rouken Glen Main Car Park (outside Rouken Glen Garden Centre) between 21:30hrs & 23:59hrs.

We advise booking in advance to guarantee a space on the bus, buses will be allocated based on advance demand.

You can purchase a ticket covering both outward and return journey, or just for the return journey at the end of the night.


Public Transport

A number of bus services stop at or near Rouken Glen Park:

  • 38/38A/38C First Glasgow

  • 4 Stagecoach

  • 395 Henderson’s Travel

  • 375 Colchri Coaches

Whitecraigs Train Station is a 5-minute walk from the festival site, with a half-hourly service between Glasgow Central and Neilston taking around 20 minutes.


Taxis / Drop Off Point

A drop off and pick up point for private cars and taxis will be in operation at Rouken Glen Main Car Park (outside Rouken Glen Garden Centre).


Driving & Parking

There is no designated parking for this event. We encourage the use of public transport wherever possible. Should you be driving to the event we recommend parking at Eastwood Park off Rouken Glen Road, 10 mins walk from the festival site. You may use spaces in the East Renfrewshire Council staff car park to the side of the council HQ, and St Ninian’s High School car park. Both are public car parks and are not operated by the festival itself.

Accessible parking spaces are available for Blue Badge holders at Rouken Glen Main Car Park, Rouken Glen East Lodge Car Park, Davieland Road, and Eastwood Park. These are public car parking spaces.
